Emergence Rates of Sesame, Perilla, Peanut, and Sorghum under Different Soil Moisture Conditions and Amendment Treatments in Saemangeum Reclaimed Land

Soil moisture conditions are critical for seed emergence in soils. As soils of Saemangeum reclaimed land coarse-textured, the soil may not be suitable upland cultivation due to low water holding capacity. This study was performed investigate rates sesame (Sesamum indicum L.), perilla (Perilla frutescens peanut (Arachis hypogaea and sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) under land. Three experiment conducted. The first compared with four levels (10, 15, 20, 25% (v v-1)) contents (SMC) between Wanju soil. In second experiment, sesame, perilla, were selected each 5 varieties rate investigated drip irrigation condition (based on a supply depth 20 cm). third seeds different amendments (control, rice straw, gypsum, high ridge, gypsum straw) open field non-irrigated conditions.
